SUMMARY:2025 Short Story Contest Awards Night (Hybrid)
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the group’s hard work on the 2025 Short Story Contest with a party at The Leather Exchange!\nThe evening will begin with drinks and a light social\, moving on to revealing the identities of the writers\, and of course the winners in all categories. It will be a fun evening to wrap up the 10th annual short story contest\, so we hope to see you all there. \nThere are limited in-person tickets due to the venue capacity\, and unlimited virtual tickets to watch the event livestream (link to follow on this page and by email/Discord invite). Grab yours at the bottom of this page! \nPlease note that critiques will be assigned on Discord to all contest entrants\, so be on the lookout for a message from an organiser\, and prepare your written critiques to email to your assigned authors as per our guide. \nIf you did not enter the contest but would like to provide written critiques to some of the stories\, please drop the organisers a line through the contact form or let us know in the #2025-story-contest channel on Discord.

SUMMARY:Spectrum Summer Drinks Social
DESCRIPTION:An evening social\, for just–well fun\, at The Leather Exchange Pub at London Bridge! \nHello fellow Spectrumers\, \nWe have decided (after no cajoling whatsoever) to hold a Summer social get-together at our usual critique evening haunt purely for the reasons of being social and probably talking about writing in some capacity. It will be held at the room above the Leather Exchange pub at London Bridge and will be a casual affair of drinks from the bar and chatting upstairs. I have it on good authority that there will be a good few of the Spectrum organisers there and also a few older members (not in age! not in age…) \nPlease do sign up below to give us an idea of numbers. No payment is required\, but if you would like to make a small voluntary donation of £3\, which would go towards our running costs and for the forthcoming short story prizes\, then that would be much appreciated (and kind of needed)! Donations can be made online on our Ko-fi link. \nNew members are absolutely welcome – please feel free to come say hello and meet the group.  \nLooking forward to seeing you all there! \n

Please note you need to have read the pieces in order to participate in the meeting\, so do account for that if you are registering at the last minute.\n\nLastly\, we are fundraising for the year’s running costs\, and are asking for a small donation towards that at each session. You can pay online on our Ko-fi page\, where you can even make your donation monthly\, or speak to an organiser at the pub if you’d prefer to give cash. Monthly Ko-fi donors get a special role on our Discord\, as well as discounts on any Spectrum-branded merch and special events tickets. \nIf you are having trouble getting onto Discord\, signing up on the website\, or have any other questions\, please email us through our contact form and one of the organisers will get back to you. \nHope to see you there!
