Any feedback is appreciated, I’m mainly focused on the quality of the worldbuilding and what you think of the characters/the dynamics I’m introducing.

This excerpt is set 20k words into this timetravel novel, in a different timeline than the initial chunk. Although I am seeding in the plot, my protagonist does not feature in these chapters at all, so there isn’t much action. I really want to know if these characters are engaging enough to keep you entertained.
