Author Notes:

So, if you all could think of the following when reading my submission, I’d be super grateful. I’ve got a few things I was trying to achieve with this and a few issues that came up in earlier drafts. Ok, so here goes:
1) Are any of the metaphors used confusing? Did they leave you wondering what was really going on, but in a bad way.
2) Are James’s motivations clear? Are the stakes for him proportional to his reactions?
3) Can you sympathise with him? Do you understand what he’s going through and does it resonate (no pun intended here) with you?
4) Is there a sense of beauty/wonder? Is contrasted?
5) Do you understand James’s reaction at the end?
6) Does the story leave you with a feeling at its conclusion? If so, what is it?
